On With My Life

So, my last posts here have been full of venting about real life. It's hard to lose respect for someone you really liked, because in a way it makes you lose respect for yourself if you're not careful. But I don't want to dwell on what I can't fix, because really, what's the point in that?

I'm going to concentrate on this rps/au fic that I want to write. It's set in the Old West, when Texas Rangers rode, and it's full of Supernatural, CW, and other CW related characters.

So far the character list and couples include

Katherine Heigl/Steve Carlson(although I've never written Steve and it makes me nervous)
Jared Padalecki(Heigl for the sake of the story)/Jensen Ackles
Jared Padalecki(Heigl)/Sandra
Jensen Ackles/Jessica Alba
Christian Kane/Jo Harvelle
Jefferey Dean Morgan/Ellen Harvelle
Bobby/?
and Jim Murphy who I don't really see being paired with anyone.

Jeffery Dean Morgan, Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and possibly Steve Carlson are Texas Rangers.

Katherine and Jared are brother and sister and Katherine has been running the family ranch since their father died. Bobby is their maternal uncle and Ellen is their maternal aunt. Ellen runs the hotel in town.

Christian Kane is a drifter, a gunslinger, and a gambler.

All of them are tied to each other or the small Texas town that sprung up around the ranching in the area.

I'll probably need a little help with the smut and I've never written Steve so that's another issue, but I just want to write something that I'll finish, so I'm going to take this one short story at a time.
