Today Let Us Honor and Remember
Tuesday, 11 November 2008 17:14Veterans Day, Remembrance Day, Armistice Day. Whatever you call it, today has a common theme and I've seen posts all over my flist today that are more profound and touching and honest than I think I could be here. My grandfather was in the Air Force during the Korean War, my father was in the Navy during the 70's, and I currently have several friends in the Army National Guard, one of whom is currently in Iraq, one who will be there very soon, and one who is in basic training.

Go take a look at the site. It has lots of great ways to donate, from simply giving a one time cash donation, to adopting a soldier for the duration of their deployment.
Today, and everyday, let us remember where we come from, and those who have made and will make huge sacrifices so that we might not have to, and that we might be allowed to live, and live in peace.
